No, I'm not suggesting to tap into Blue Ridge Cables lines. No need to. Their monthly fees are CRAZY. Go to http://www.hulu.com for many of the same shows that people pay $80 to $100 a month.
Free Planetarium Visit
ESU's new McMunn Planetarium is free to go and watch. They have free shows at least once a month on Friday nights. The tickets are available for free by signing up online (Reservation button at top right). Worth a night out.
Bronx Zoo
While not in the Poconos, it is pretty close by and on Wednesdays is free to the public (donations accepted). The Bronx Zoo is a fantastic place to spend the day.
Free Books, Magazines, Movies and Music!
Our Eastern Monroe County Public Library has Free Books, Magazines, Movies and Music as long as you return it in time.
$1 Rental Movies
While almost free, Redbox.com has kiosks at Mr.Z's, Walmart and other locations around the Poconos. Get the latest movies available for a $1 rental free making this a great deal considering the price of movies at the mall. Keep an eye on http://poconocoupon.com at least once every two weeks they offer a free rental - now that's cool!
